Petrol Surcharge Waiver :

Normally, if you use your Debit Card to purchase fuel, you will be levied a surcharge of 2.5% on the transaction amount. However, if you are a Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Cardholder, this charge will be waived** at all petrol pumps across the country.

•  The maximum petrol surcharge waiver per Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Cards in a calendar month will be restricted to Rs. 1,000.
•  In case customer has crossed the threshold of Rs. 1,000 in a calendar month, his / her account will be debited for the differential amount in the same month or in the subsequent month at the discretion of Deutsche Bank. In case sufficient balance is not available in the account to absorb the debit, in addition to exercise of other rights of Deutsche Bank, a lien will be marked in the customer's account and the debit will be posted as and when balance is available.

Features

Chip Technology

Your Debit Card is an EMV Chip Card (Europay, Mastercard and Visa, a global standard for inter-operation of integrated circuit cards) offering greater security when you transact. The microchip on the face of this card stores customer data in a secured manner, making it extremely difficult to copy. This advanced technology is more effective in preventing your card from being copied to produce counterfeit cards.

For better acceptability across merchants, the EMV Debit Cards will also contain a magnetic strip on the reverse of the card to ensure swipe transactions. However, we recommend that you use your EMV Chip Card only at merchant terminals with chip capability to avoid skimming frauds.

Normally when you use your Debit Card abroad you have to pay an ATM access fee and a machine level surcharge**.

Total Protection

Personal Accident Insurance Cover

You will be entitled to complimentary air accident insurance cover of Rs. 5 crore in the event of an unfortunate air accident leading to death.

In case the insured has multiple cards, the personal accident claim would be payable on one card only, with maximum benefit (highest sum insured)


Policy exclusions:
Death, injury or disablement due to Intentional self injury, Suicide, Intoxicating liquor or drugs, While engaging in aviation or ballooning, Venereal disease or insanity, resulting from Insured committing a breach of law with criminal intent and War and nuclear perils.


Lost Card Insurance Cover#

In the event that you lose your Infinite Debit Card, Deutsche Bank will cover you up to Rs. 10 lakhs per card. The lost card insurance will cover any losses occurring 30 days prior to reporting and 7 days after reporting loss of card.

You need to report the loss of your Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Card to Deutsche Bank by calling our 24/7 phone banking team on 1860 266 6660#  in your city or visit your nearest branch counter immediately on such loss. Deutsche Bank will deactivate the card immediately to prevent misuse.


In case of misuse, you also need to send the following documents to us:

  • FIR duly acknowledged by a police officer
  • Letter giving details of the loss or disputed transactions
  • Copy of Bank account statement highlighting the disputed transactions
  • Duly filled in claim dispute form (available at any Deutsche Bank branches)

The liability per card shall be restricted to the maximum of Rs. 10 lakhs and you will be covered for all losses up to a maximum of 30 days prior to reporting the loss. On receipt of communication from you regarding your lost or stolen Debit Card along with the requisite documents, Deutsche Bank is authorised to conduct its own investigation in respect of such lost or stolen card. If such investigation reveals any direct or indirect involvement of the cardholder or cardholder's relatives or employees or colluding third parties, Deutsche Bank is authorised to take appropriate action against the cardholder in addition to refusing to give benefit of Total Protection to the cardholder. The findings of the Bank’s investigation shall be final and binding on the cardholder. Total Protection is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable insurance policy.

The cardholder will get the benefit of this policy only if:

  • The card account is in good standing
  • There are not more than 2 unauthorized transactions on the Debit Card of the cardholder during the last 12 months, prior to reporting the loss of the Debit Card.
  • The cardholder proves that he was not negligent in safeguarding the Debit Card and the claim is not fraudulent.

Purchase Protection Cover

All goods purchased using your Infinite Debit Card will be insured up to Rs. 1 lakh and upto 90 days from the date of purchase. The insurance cover is valid for purchases made using Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Card only.

Cover against Standard Fire, allied perils and burglary in residential premises only.


Emergency Medical Cover

The Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Card offers an Emergency Medical Insurance Cover of Rs. 30 lakhs. This insurance covers emergency medical expenses while the customer is travelling abroad.


Flexible Limits*

Deutsche Bank gives you the flexibility to decide the daily limit you want for transactions at ATMs and merchant establishments using your debit card. You have a choice of five different daily limits (Rs. 25,000, Rs. 50,000,
Rs. 1,00,000, Rs. 1,50,000, Rs. 2,00,000, Rs. 2,50,000, Rs. 3,00,000 and Rs. 5,00,000) from which you can select your preferred option at the time of opening your account.

Priority Customer Service

Global Customer Assistance Service (GCAS) is a service that is available for Deutsche Bank International Premium Debit Card customers. Through GCAS, cardholders can receive assistance from Visa Global Customer Assistance Service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. GCAS can be used for lost / stolen card reporting, emergency cash assistance or miscellaneous information that you may require overseas. Deutsche Bank Debit Card can be used only on Verified by Visa (VbV) websites for online purchases. VbV is protocol by Visa that lets you shop online securely with your Deutsche Bank Debit Card. VbV confirms your identity through a simple check process when you make online purchases with the Deutsche Bank Debit Card.

All your online Deutsche Bank Debit Card transactions will be verified using One-time password (OTP) which will be sent to your mobile number registered with the bank. Your OTP will be valid for 5 minutes.

* This charge will be levied if you do not retain your status as a Private Banking Infinity customer.

Eligibility

This product is offered exclusively to Private Banking Infinity customers only. Private Banking Infinity customers maintaining an
AUM >= Rs. 1 crore will be eligible for a Infinite Debit Card.

In case the customer does not retain his status as private banking and still chooses to continue with his Infinite Debit Card a charge of Rs. 5,000 per annum will get levied from the subsequent annual billing cycle.

How can the card be used at a Merchant Establishment?

To use your Debit Card at a Merchant Establishment:

Step 1: Look for the Visa, Visa Electron signs while shopping, dining or while on holiday.

Step 2: Buy whatever you want

Step 3: Make sure the cashier swipes the card on the Electronic Terminal.

Step 4: Sign on the charge slip only after confirming the amount and details on the slip.

What are the charges for using the Infinite Debit Card?

  • There is no charge if the Debit Card is used at a Deutsche Bank ATM.
  • There is no charge if the Debit Card is used at a retail outlet for purchases. However, for use at petrol pumps and railway stations, a surcharge of 2.5% of the purchase value shall be applicable as per industry standards. The surcharge of 2.5% on fuel purchases is waived for Deutsche Bank Infinite Debit Cardholders.
  • For transactions at VISA / PLUS ATMs, the following charges apply:

What are the annual fees for the Infinite Debit Card?

Infinite Debit Card is being offered free of cost to Private Banking Infinity customers with a relationship value (AUM) >= Rs. 1 crore with Deutsche Bank. Please note that in case customers are unable to retain status as Private Banking Infinity, and would like to still continue with the Infinite Debit Card, a charge of Rs. 5,000 per annum will be levied for the Infinite Debit Card from the subsequent annual billing cycle.

What is the validity period of the Debit Card?

The Debit Card will be valid for a period of six years from the date of issue.

What should I do if I lose my Debit Card?

If you want to report the loss or theft of your debit card, please call our Phone Banking team at 1860 266 6660#

This number is the same across all cities in India. The Phone Banking number will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Debit Card will be deactivated as soon as you inform the Call Centre. This would prevent any misuse of the Debit Card.
